The Global Entrepreneurship Week: Business Kickoff Event will offer aspiring entrepreneurs free information, resources, support, and inspiration needed to successfully start a business. Participants will receive a specialized form that will assist in organizing the information available at this event. This form will keep track of who they’ve spoken to, services that are useful to them specifically, and how to get in contact with those resources at a future date.
After an hour or so of informational browsing, there will be a brief speech offered by a local entrepreneur sharing some of the hardships and successes they’ve experienced while starting and developing their business.
After that will be additional time to gather information, and finishing the evening off with a free drawing for a prize basket.

Rainy Day Reading Reviews is a program developed by the Aberdeen Timberland Library to engage local booklovers. Here’s how it works: a library patron or friend is asked to read a book of her or his choosing, prepare a review of the book, then offer the review – in person and out-loud – at a public gathering. It’s all about reading, reflecting and sharing.
