Jeremy Kittel is an American fiddler, violinist, and composer. Fluent in multiple genres, his original music draws from traditional roots, jazz, Celtic, classical, eletronic, and more. He has composed and arranged for artists Jars of Clay, Yo-Yo Ma, and the Silk Road Ensemble. The Trio appeared in “Prairie Home Companion,” in addition to their frequent tours. The Festival begins the evening of Tuesday, October 18, 2016 and lasts until Sunday, October 23, 2016. An eclectic mix of Irish bands, choirs and dancers hailing from throughout the United States, Canada and, of course, Ireland will be rounding out this year’s entertainment.

Oakville Timberland Library presents Spooky Art, 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m., October 22 for children. Young artists wanted at the library to create spooky crafts and checkout hair-raising books. Costumes are welcome, but not required. For more information call 360-273-5305.
Westport Timberland Library presents Boom Times to Hard Times: Grays Harbor in the 1930s, 2-3 p.m., October 22 for adults and teens. Grays Harbor during the 1930s – the Great Depression years – was a very different place. Polson Museum’s John Larson will describe and show photos of what life was like in that era. The Elma Chamber of Commerce, along with Elma Businesses invite families to the 18th annual Elma Downtown Trick or Treat on Monday, October 31st. Bring your trick or treaters from 3:00 – 6:00 PM to the Elma Chamber and participating businesses. Enjoy a wagon ride on the Elma Feed Store shuttle, which will be loading and unloading at the Elma Chamber.

The Harvest Fair Carnival at the Elma Middle School will be on Monday, October 31, sponsored by the Churches of Elma. The Harvest Fair Carnival is from 5:00 – 7:30 PM and all the “FUN” is free!

The Friends of the Winlock Timberland Library will hold their yearly Silent Auction of locally crafted, artisan items starting Tuesday, November 8. Here is the schedule:
- Saturday, November 5 – Last day to bring items for donation to the library
- Tuesday, November 8 – Auction opens, silent bids accepted at the library
- Wednesday, November 23 at 2 p.m.- Bidding closes
