The SongCatchers will perform their Dreaming In Color Album originally released on A&M Records plus additional songs on October 18th in Aberdeen at the Bishop Center Theater, a performance arts space known for great world music.

Coastal Interpretive Center’s Rayonier: 90 Years of Land Management is a presentation about the 90-year history of Rayonier’s land management and modern forestry practices, presented by Mark Smalley, Engineering Manager, and Dan Stransky, the Senior Timber Marketing Manager for Rayonier’s lands in Oregon and Washington.

The concert is a collaboration of the University’s music department, Office of Campus Ministry and Benedictine Institute. The tradition began 15 years ago as a way of honoring the University’s patron saint, Saint Martin of Tours, whose feast day is November 11.

“The Sacred Music concerts include Renaissance music, gospel, and contemporary music,” says Darrell Born, associate professor of music and Saint Martin’s Chorale director. “Readings and poetry will be interspersed throughout the concert to punctuate the performances.”

2017 will herald the 14th year of the Galway Bay Celtic Music Festival, celebrating Irish songs, ballads, players and bands. An eclectic mix of Irish bands, choirs and dancers hailing from throughout the United States, Canada and, of course, Ireland will be rounding out this year’s entertainment.

Minors are allowed at the Convention Center, but not at Galway Bay or 8th Street. Children under 12 Are Free.

Fiddler, violinist, composer, Jeremy Kittel plays original music from traditional roots, jazz, Celtic, classical, electronic and much more. The Trio performed on “A Prairie Home Companion” and now on the Bishop Center stage.

All Grays Harbor area nonprofits and school districts that fit within our Giving Priorities are eligible to apply for a small grant. Grants are available for requests of $5,000 and below.  Small Grant requests might include small scale technology needs, items for shelters or housing programs, food purchases for feeding programs, educational supplies for early learning or schools, small renovation or improvement projects, capacity building, etc. Organizations that are awarded small grants are still eligible to apply for our twice annual Community Building Grants program. Come join the Grays Harbor Mounted Posse for their Gaming Buckle Series. Events take place at the Grays Harbor County Fairgrounds Indoor Arena in Elma, November 4th & 5th at 9am. Events include: Poles, 2-barrel flags, Figure 8, Cal Stack, Key Race, and Barrels. Age divisions are: Pee Wee/8 and under, Junior /3rd.-5th grade, Intermediate/6th- 8th grade, Senior/ 9th.-12th grade, S. Senior/ 19.-34yrs old and Old Timers/35 and over. Cost to participate is just $25 for the day plus $5 arena fee. We offer a $5 discount for 4H or Equestrian team members. Events also include sorting, 2-man ranch and 3-man arena. The 98520 Music and Arts District Initiative is hosting a Benefit Concert for The Garage: Music and Arts Center featuring live music from Lisa Ramsauer, Donna Albert, Corey Morris & Geoffrey Hirschfeld. All ages welcome.

The Fall Grays Harbor Symphony Concert is titled Música Latino Sinfonía. It will feature orchestral music from Latin America, including: Danzon No. 2, by Marquez; El Salón México, by Copland; Huapango, by Moncayo; and Rhumba from the Latin American Symphony, by Gould. Featured on the bassoon will be Stephanie Octave performing the Ciranda das sete notas, by Villa-Lobos.
