Five Star Dealerships Sand and Sawdust Festival welcomes you to the beach! Master, intermediate, and novice sand-sculpting teams compete for over $8,000.00 in cash prizes. At the Convention Center master woodcarvers from all over the world compete in this amazing annual competition. There are vendors, food sales and the live auctions are held daily on carvings! Families and children are invited to enter the sand-sculpting competition or learn sand-sculpting skills at the free lessons.
Let us welcome Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance to Seabrook and Grays Harbor Community and show them that we are committed and we want to get our hands dirty. Please be a part of the team in creating this new adventure for Seabrook, the local community and Grays Harbor County. Start the evening with a short memorial and placement of flowers on Aberdeen’s Honor our Founding Family at 5:30 at Fern Hill Funeral Home (2208 Roosevelt Street, Aberdeen) followed by a social hour starting at 6:00pm at the Aberdeen Museum of History where you can mingle with friends and the suspects to gain clues to the murder and help to solve the case.

The City of Aberdeen was founded by Mr. Samuel Benn on May 28, 1868, when Sam and his family landed on the banks of the Lower Chehalis. Mr. Benn’s birthday, July 2, is our official Founders’ Day. Join us the Saturday prior to Independence Day each year to celebrate our city and its rich history full of logging, fishing, saloons, brothels, crime, mystery, culture and much, much more.
There will be a parade starting at 11:00 a.m., once the parade is over stroll to Broadway Street to enjoy the children’s fun area and vendors of all kinds. Enjoy the day and end it with a Beer Garden with live music to dance to your hearts content.

The Fresnel lens, hand-crafted in France, was the chief aid to navigation off the coast of Grays Harbor from 1898 to 1992 when it was doused by a modern, automated light installed by the U.S. Coast Guard. The lens is still installed atop the lighthouse.
The short ceremony will commemorate the lighting of the Grays Harbor Lighthouse on June 30, 1898, and is intended to be a casual, “low key” chance for folks on the beach to rekindle their own memories of the landmark, according to John Shaw, executive director of the Westport-South Beach Historical Society.
