Saddlebags are backpacks for bicycles. The idea of these meetings is:
- Arrive on a bike
- Discuss the route to be ridden
- Place the map, paper and writing utensils in your saddlebag
- Ride the route, stop and record when needed
- Regroup at a designated location to discuss findings
If a person does not want to ride, they are welcome to come for the discussions and either wait for the bike riders to return or walk part of the route.

In his wacky way, Zerbe helps kids understand gravity, friction, center of mass and gyroscopic stability. Children will also discover the six simple machines and see the lever, inclined plane and the wheel and axle in action.
