April Henry is the award-winning New York Times best-selling author of fast-paced mysteries and thrillers, including “Torched,” “Girl, Stolen,” “The Girl Who Was Supposed to Die,” and her newest book, “The Body in the Woods.”
Teens and their families are invited to join Ms. Henry as she offers down-to-earth tips on writing, publishing, and juggling life with the creative process. For background for her novels, she interviews experts in fields such as crime-fighting and medicine and has spent time with the Portland Police Bureau’s Forensic Evidence Division. Fun facts: Henry wrote on her website, www.aprilhenrymysteries.com, that she “loves kung fu, running, and all things salty,” and has written an episode for the phone app “Zombies, Run!”
