Become a pirate in time for Pirate Daze! Make your own hook, walk the plank, and learn about pirates. This event is part of Summer Reading, a Timberland Regional Library district-wide program.
The Chamber of Commerce welcomes all to the Sand and Sawdust Festival at the beach! Master, Intermediate, & Novice Sand-Sculptors. At the Convention Center master woodcarvers compete in this amazing annual competition. There are food, craft and specialty vendors. Live auctions are held daily on carvings!

Looking for Garage Sales! Elma has enough to keep you busy during Elma City-Wide Garage Sale Days, June 23 – 24, 2017. Pick up your free official Garage Sale Days map at Elma Visitors Station, corner of Main and Third Streets, Elma City Hall and various businesses in Elma. Maps will be ready beginning the afternoon of June 22nd.

The Hoquiam Fire Department will be here to talk about their jobs, and will bring a firetruck for everyone to see. Children can also check out books about firefighting and do a related craft. This event is part of Summer Reading, a Timberland Regional Library district-wide program.

Join the Tokeland Fourth of July Parade at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 1, then picnic on the grounds of the Historic Tokeland Hotel. It’s free to enter the parade (your imagination is the only thing required) and the picnic lunch and games for all ages on the grounds are free, also. Prizes will be awarded for best parade entry and winners of all of the different games.

Chief Taholah Days, commemorating the signing of the Quinault Treaty on July 1, 1855, commences Saturday, July 1, and continues through Tuesday, July 4. The event, which is Quinault Indian Nation’s biggest celebration of the year, features a vast array of events ranging from basketball and boxing tournaments to cedar canoe races on the Quinault River. Guests and homeowners alike decorate their porches while residents, guests and visitors walk around to pick their favorites. Everyone has a chance to stop at Crescent Park to vote for their favorite home by 9:00 p.m. where the s’mores roasting begins! The people’s choice and judge’s choice winners will be announced at the Flag Presentation at 11:00 a.m. on July 4 at the Front Street Amphitheater flag pole. A bike parade and Farmers Market follow.

Step back in time this Independence Day with the Westport Maritime Museum’s Old Fashioned 4th. Kid’s activities, games, music, craft and food vendors will be on-site all day long. Stay for the evening and enjoy the Booming Bay Fireworks Display at dusk over the Westport Marina.

The day-long festival with inflatable games, rides, live music, food and craft vendors, and family entertainment begins at noon and runs until 5:00 p.m. at Morrison Waterfront Park. For the evening, the Splash Festival switches to Seaport Landing (the historic seaport on the opposite side of the Chehalis River) from 5:00 to 11:00 p.m. The fireworks display, which may be seen from either side of the river, begins at 10:00 p.m.

A family friendly event with volleyball, soccer, disc golf, skim boarding, music, vendors, games, food, activity tournaments, and s’mores.
Second largest kit festival in Washington. There will be Kids kites, sport kite competition, mass Ascension’s, kite lessons, Teddy bear drops, kiters banquet,raffle and auction and Tee shirts and pins.
Put on by the Friends of Ocean Shores Library. Book sales are held in the Library Meeting Room. Books Galore: all genres – paperbacks, hard covers, fiction, cookbooks, children’s books, local interest, audio, DVD. Most 2 for $1.00. All proceeds and donations support programming for all ages at the Library. Donations welcome.
The 58th Annual McCleary Bear Festival will have craft vendors, carnival games, pony rides, petting zoo, The Reptile Man, softball tournament, fun run, parade, car meet, music in the park, and of course, their famous Bear Stew.
