State Route 8 at Wildcat Creek near McCleary fully reopened today following a weeklong westbound lane closure. Emergency contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation completed slope stabilization work at the creek near McKnight Road. Efforts to stabilize the embankment began Jan. 19 after heavy rains triggered erosion.

For the safety of the crews and the traveling public, this work occurred during daylight hours. WSDOT appreciates the cooperation and patience from travelers while crews completed this important work.
