KXRO Radio Morning Show Welcomes New Host

Pat AndersonLongtime local radio personality Pat Anderson will take to the airways as KXRO radio’s new morning show host. Anderson will join the morning news team on Grays Harbor Radio’s heritage news station beginning Tuesday, May 27, 2014. A veteran of radio broadcasting, Anderson has been employed by Grays Harbor Radio for 24 years.  He was born and raised in Aberdeen. He is a graduate of Aberdeen High School and Grays Harbor College.

“KXRO has a proud history of providing local news and information. I’m looking forward to continuing that tradition,” said Anderson.  Anderson has served as the morning show host on Grays Harbor Radio’s classic rock station, 104.7 KDUX FM for almost 20 years.  He also has co-hosted KXRO’s live talk show “Live @ 9.”

News Director Kyle Pauley and Reporter Daniel Hargrove will round out the KXRO Morning Show team. “The unique thing about this KXRO Morning Show is everyone is from Grays Harbor,” said Anderson.  “We know the history, the people, and what matters to our community.” The show will feature the latest news and information with guest appearances from news makers as well as live call-in topics
at :15 and :45 every hour from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Along with the addition of Anderson, changes to the schedule at KXRO will provide a larger variety of programming including The Dana Show, Thom Hartmann, TMZ, as well as regional programming including In the Booth with Michael Howe from Port Angeles, and Portland based Ground Zero with Clyde Lewis.

Anderson will continue to host KXRO’s Live @ 9 and continue to maintain a presence on KDUX, hosting the afternoon show from noon to 6pm weekdays.  Another longtime local radio veteran and rock music aficionado, Darwin Sharrah will take over the morning show duties on KDUX Classic Rock.
