The Grays Harbor Community Foundation is pleased to be able to invest $52,137.00 into the community through our 2nd quarter grants cycle. The Foundation has long been a resource to Grays Harbor County nonprofit organizations by offering grants four times a year.
The organizations that were funded this quarter include: Coastal Interpretive Center for their Life on the Edge Program, Catholic Community Services for the Grays Harbor Youth Center, Hoquiam School District for the Summer Book Mobile Program, Master Gardeners of Grays Harbor and Pacific County for a Replacement of a Shed at their Master Gardener Demonstration Garden, McCleary School District for a Projection System for District Multi-Use Gym and the Montesano Community Center for Dining and Kitchen Equipment for the new Senior Center.
Executive Director, Eric Potts, commented that “We were glad to see so many organizations have multiple sources of support for their projects this quarter. It tells us that organizations are developing well thought out long-term projects and have great community buy-in from other local partners and funders.”
The Foundation has quarterly grant opportunities with applications accepted on the first business day of January, April, July, and October each year. The next submission deadline is July 1, 2016.
