Elma Chamber of Commerce is hosting “Meet the Candidates” luncheon, featuring candidates running for positions on the ballot for East County. The public is invited to join us at noon, Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Stay Beyond Inn & Suites conference center in Elma.
The luncheon will begin with candidates introducing themselves and sharing why they want to run for the office and their qualifications. Public may ask questions of candidates following all introductions. Candidates expected to attend are those running for Grays Harbor Commissioner, State Senator Legislative District 19 & 24, Grays Harbor Superior Court Judge, P.U.D. Commissioner and District Court #1.

Live entertainment by Kiss Army, giveaway items at the door and free drink ticket, finger food, costume contests with prizes and drawings for free play. VIPs receive free admission. The Elma Chamber of Commerce, along with Elma Businesses invite families to the 18th annual Elma Downtown Trick or Treat on Monday, October 31st. Bring your trick or treaters from 3:00 – 6:00 PM to the Elma Chamber and participating businesses. Enjoy a wagon ride on the Elma Feed Store shuttle, which will be loading and unloading at the Elma Chamber.

The Harvest Fair Carnival at the Elma Middle School will be on Monday, October 31, sponsored by the Churches of Elma. The Harvest Fair Carnival is from 5:00 – 7:30 PM and all the “FUN” is free!
The Friends of the Winlock Timberland Library will hold their yearly Silent Auction of locally crafted, artisan items starting Tuesday, November 8. Here is the schedule:
- Saturday, November 5 – Last day to bring items for donation to the library
- Tuesday, November 8 – Auction opens, silent bids accepted at the library
- Wednesday, November 23 at 2 p.m.- Bidding closes
All proceeds support events and programs at the Winlock Timberland Library.
