7th Street Kids presents Honk!, a musical rendition of “The Ugly Duckling.”
7th Street Kids presented Honk! Jr in the summer of 2004 and is excited to present the full version of this delightful and witty “Poultry Tale” this summer.
Come to the 7th Street Theater and join Ugly on his quest to find out where an odd duck belongs and what it means to be different. HONK!
Tickets are on sale at Harbor Drug, Rosevear’s, and online at Brown Paper Tickets. They are also available at the theater box office one hour before each performance.

Blood donors are invited to make reservations for Westport Winery’s next Bella Blood Drive and join the Roberts family as they give the gift of life. The winery will accept reservations for up to three donors every 15 minutes during this timeframe. Free refreshments will be provided to donors. Before there were blogs, people wrote in journals! Be inspired to begin writing a journal of your own. Blank notebooks are provided, or you can bring your own. This event is part of Summer Reading, a Timberland Regional Library districtwide program.
The Port of Grays Harbor is once again pleased to announce that it will be offering public tours of its industrial properties and marine terminals, as well as walking tours of the Satsop Business Park.
The guided walking tours at Satsop Business Park offer an excellent way to explore the unique assets the Park has to offer including the cooling towers, tunnel training facility, warehouses, and office buildings. Comfortable, closed-toed shoes are required for this tour.

Lewis County native Beth Peterson will talk about her new book,“Life After Lightning,” at the McCleary, Elma and Aberdeen Timberland Libraries this August.
The book chronicles Peterson’s near-death experiences, having been twice struck by lightning. The result has been extensive physical and emotional damage, multiple surgeries and a lengthy recovery.
In her book and her public talks, Peterson reveals how she persevered through the pain, grief and loss. She encourages people to live in balance with others and offers insights on topics such as family, spiritual recovery and discovering one’s true direction in life.

Hoquiam businesses are celebrating spring with the “First Thursdays” events continuing into 2014. The result of the event, now in its third year, has been increased foot traffic in downtown, a spike in sales for local businesses, join participating businesses every First Thursday from May through September and enjoy special deals, food, music and local art.
