“Pottery Basics 1” for 6 weeks. Students will learn to work with clay using basic hand building techniques. The first class is Thursday July 7 and will run through August 11 from 9am-Noon every Thursday. There will be three extra open studio times during the run of the class to complete work. The 8th annual “Tee it up for Dogs” golf tournament takes place at the Lake Limerick Golf Course in Shelton. Come support the Adopt-a-Pet dog shelter and put your handicap to good use. The entry of $85 per person includes golf cart, 18 holes of golf, lunch, and awards. Maybe you will even win the prize for craziest golf pants! Sponsorship opportunities are also available. The registration deadline is July 5.

7th Street Kids is performing Disney’s “The Little Mermaid.”
Kids from all over Grays Harbor and Pacific Counties perform the Disney classic, complete with all of the favorite songs from the movie. Amazing special effects take the audience under the sea with Ariel, Flounder, Sebastian, King Triton and Ursula, and back to shore with Scuttle, Prince Eric and other landlubbers.
This cast of 53 amazingly talented singers and dancers, aged 7-16 will have you singing along to “Under the Sea,” “Part of Your World,” “Kiss the Girl,” and more as Ariel, played by Chaela Watkins, transforms from mermaid to human. Even Ursula, brought to life by Kendall Cavin, can’t conjure a spell to destroy true love!

Get ready a toe tapping, knee slapping performance by the Tacoma Banjo Band. This two and half hour special event includes a steam train ride to the museum for the concert and catered BBQ by the experts at Longhorn BBQ. The 7th Street Theatre presents 10 films and over 15 hours of Horror with Hot August Frights!
Monsters and marvels will be on screen throughout the day, from bats to spiders and every creepy- crawly in between to make your skin tighten and your hair stand up on end.
For the 4th year, the historic and haunted 7th Street Theatre will be the home of the biggest horror movie marathon in Western Washington. This year, it is even bigger than ever.
From 8:00 a.m. – midnight on Saturday, August 13, 10 films will be on the screen at the historic theatre, starting with the classic Spider Baby at 8am and leading to the groundbreaking Lost World at 10pm.
Featured this year as a modern film is the 2002 cult classic 8 Legged Freaks.

A master of many musical styles and instruments, Dean Ratzman will entertain audiences at the Aberdeen Timberland Library in August.
This afternoon show features family-friendly tunes. Light refreshments courtesy of the Friends of the Aberdeen Timberland Library.
Ratzman’s shows swing with music from the 1940s through Big Band, Jazz, Blues, Rock and Soul. From Sinatra to Santana, he taps into the musical memories of three generations.
