Summer at Bloodworks Northwest is a tough one as they typically see a sharp downturn in blood donations – 15% fewer people are donating due to holidays, vacations and nicer weather. It is incredibly difficult to generate enough donations during this time of year, yet the need for blood never takes a vacation.

Join us for our July Community Education Dinner! The topic is Advance Care Planning. Our speaker, Mary Ellen Biggerstaff, DNP, is a primary care provider at Summit Pacific Healthcare Clinic in Elma. Mary Ellen will be speaking about the importance of having our medical wishes known with those we love throughout all stages of our lives.
An Advance Directive is a written statement of your wishes regarding medical treatment, often including a living will, made to ensure those wishes are carried out should you be unable to communicate them. Advance Directives also ensure that your loved ones are not burdened with making stressful decisions.

Boast Basin Derby begins September 15 and continues through October 31. Must have appropriate license and regulation fishing tackle and methods. No derby ticket required. Weigh in on Float G at Seafood Connection between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
