Kaleidoscope Belly Dance presents “Mosaic In Motion”, a celebration of performing arts, providing an environment for expression of movement for performers of all genres, ages, and levels of experience.

This interactive, hands-on workshop will cover board responsibilities, operations, development, fundraising, and advocacy. It is based on the Boards in Gear resources developed in partnership with some of our state’s leading board experts. You will leave with concrete action steps, tools, and connections.

This workshop is designed for board members and the people who work with them, namely executive directors and program staff. It offers ideas for new board members and those who have served for a long time. It is appropriate for organizations of all sizes, whether they have staff or not.

Join us for an evening of impact as we raise awareness on the delicate subject of child sex trafficking. Expert speaker, Dr. Cyndi Romine (founder of Called To Rescue) will teach prevention, share facts & statistics, and help attendees understand the truths of what is happening throughout WA and the world. We supply everything needed to paint. We advise that you dress for the mess, and bring an apron from home. Seahawks game will be playing, Elks bar open!

The SongCatchers will perform their Dreaming In Color Album originally released on A&M Records plus additional songs on October 18th in Aberdeen at the Bishop Center Theater, a performance arts space known for great world music.

The concert is a collaboration of the University’s music department, Office of Campus Ministry and Benedictine Institute. The tradition began 15 years ago as a way of honoring the University’s patron saint, Saint Martin of Tours, whose feast day is November 11.

“The Sacred Music concerts include Renaissance music, gospel, and contemporary music,” says Darrell Born, associate professor of music and Saint Martin’s Chorale director. “Readings and poetry will be interspersed throughout the concert to punctuate the performances.”

Interested in learning more about efforts to address homelessness and affordable housing in our community? A Housing Stakeholder Coalition has been formed and is a platform for education and discussion around pertinent housing issues.

Fiddler, violinist, composer, Jeremy Kittel plays original music from traditional roots, jazz, Celtic, classical, electronic and much more. The Trio performed on “A Prairie Home Companion” and now on the Bishop Center stage.

All Grays Harbor area nonprofits and school districts that fit within our Giving Priorities are eligible to apply for a small grant. Grants are available for requests of $5,000 and below.  Small Grant requests might include small scale technology needs, items for shelters or housing programs, food purchases for feeding programs, educational supplies for early learning or schools, small renovation or improvement projects, capacity building, etc. Organizations that are awarded small grants are still eligible to apply for our twice annual Community Building Grants program. The Fall Grays Harbor Symphony Concert is titled Música Latino Sinfonía. It will feature orchestral music from Latin America, including: Danzon No. 2, by Marquez; El Salón México, by Copland; Huapango, by Moncayo; and Rhumba from the Latin American Symphony, by Gould. Featured on the bassoon will be Stephanie Octave performing the Ciranda das sete notas, by Villa-Lobos.

The popular singing group, The North Beach Singers presents, “A Christmas Concert”.
