71st Annual Westport Seafood Festival & Craft Show @ Westport Maritime Museum

This interactive, hands-on workshop will cover board responsibilities, operations, development, fundraising, and advocacy. It is based on the Boards in Gear resources developed in partnership with some of our state’s leading board experts. You will leave with concrete action steps, tools, and connections.

This workshop is designed for board members and the people who work with them, namely executive directors and program staff. It offers ideas for new board members and those who have served for a long time. It is appropriate for organizations of all sizes, whether they have staff or not.

Coastal Harvest Benefit Dinner @ Town Hall

Join us for the third annual “Harvest by the Sea”, a benefit dinner honoring Coastal Harvest. The evening starts off with Cocktail Hour at 6:00 pm featuring beer brewed right here in the harbor by Steam Donkey Brewing Company and a wine paring poured by GH Wine Sellars. As you are enjoying a selection of delicious appetizers, entertainment will be provided by Ericka Corban, as seen on “The Voice”. Dinner will be catered by Mill 109 and served at 7:00 pm. The evening will wrap up with a “Desert Auction” where you will have the opportunity to select from a variety of cakes, cupcakes, pies and much more made specially for this event.

Auditions certain roles for the Bishop Center’s Spring production of Billy Elliot. We are auditioning the roles of:
– the Dance teacher
– Mr. Braithwaite (dance teacher’s assistant)
– All ballet dancers (ages 7-17)

Ballet girls should come in tights and leotards. No baggy clothing please! Bring tap shoes to the audition for Dance teacher, Mr. Braithwaite and ballet girls.

Oktoberfest Fundraiser @ Saron Lutheran

The cost of the ticket covers entry into a door prize drawing, live entertainment, non-alcoholic drinks, and a large German themed meal. Beer and wine will be available for purchase.

All money raised will be used to help our neighbors in the Grays Harbor community. Projects include expanding 1st Presbyterian’s facility into a larger community garden, purchasing hygiene and school items for distribution by local churches and nonprofits, other assistance for families and neighbors in need, and funding Saron’s new monthly after school and free dinner program. Expert speaker, Dr. Cyndi Romine (founder of Called To Rescue) will teach prevention, share facts & statistics, and help attendees understand the truths of what is happening throughout WA and the world. To lighten the mood, we are mixing in live performances from Jackie Mitchell, Wil Russoul, and Ericka Corban. Enjoy food, beverages, beer & wine provided by Mill 109 & Hoquiam Brewing Company.

From 10:00 p.m. until midnight, our post-event celebration continues at Hoquiam Brewing Company with more live music, activities, and a social gathering. Get to know the speakers, performers, and producers of Be Great!

36th Annual OysterFest @ Shelton

Hosted by the Shelton Skookum Rotary Club Foundation and attended by thousands, OysterFest is home to the West Coast Oyster Shucking Championships and is Washington State’s official seafood festival.

The festival also features a popular cook-off, hands-on water quality exhibits, and is itself a giant a food pavilion with nearly 100 unique items on the menu: BBQ oysters, fritters, spring rolls, garlic shrimp, fresh cider and so much more. Better yet, your culinary adventure supports about 100 local non-profit service clubs and organizations, as well as funding scholarships and local community improvement projects.
