Mark Farner, formery of Grand Funk Railroad, will be at the historic D & R Theatre in Aberdeen.
The Grays Harbor and Pacific Counties Master Gardeners will hold a free plant clinic. Guests are invited to bring a planter or pot with soil as they receive assistance from the master gardeners on how to create a quaint and cute fairy garden. Reservations are not required.
All attendees will receive a 10% discount on plants. All ages are welcome. Folks are also welcome to bring random plant and gardening questions to get advice from the master gardeners.
The nursery at the winery has a nice array of plants including perennials, shrubs, trees and fruits. All herb starts, vegetables, baskets, planters and annuals are 40% off.
On the third Thursday of each month, The Arc of Grays Harbor offers an informative Parent Support group for parents of kids with developmental disabilities. Contact Charlene at 360-537-7000 for more information.

We’ve all seen would-be beautiful spaces choked by a field of invasive plants, whether they be Scotch Broom, blackberry thickets, tansy, thistles, reed canary grass, knotweed…. you get the picture. But what is our local government doing about it, and how can we help? Join Nancy Ness, coordinator for the Grays Harbor County Noxious Weed Board on an exploratory workshop on invasive control methods in use by our local governments. Musician Sean Gaskell will give a performance and educational demonstration on the Kora, an ancient 21-string harp from West Africa.
He will play both traditional songs and original compositions. The Kora is native to the Mande peoples who live within the countries of Gambia, Senegal, Mali, Guinea and Guinea Bissau.
