The Grays Harbor and Pacific Counties Master Gardeners will hold a free plant clinic. Guests are invited to bring a planter or pot with soil as they receive assistance from the master gardeners on how to create a quaint and cute fairy garden. Reservations are not required.
All attendees will receive a 10% discount on plants. All ages are welcome. Folks are also welcome to bring random plant and gardening questions to get advice from the master gardeners.
The nursery at the winery has a nice array of plants including perennials, shrubs, trees and fruits. All herb starts, vegetables, baskets, planters and annuals are 40% off.

We’ve all seen would-be beautiful spaces choked by a field of invasive plants, whether they be Scotch Broom, blackberry thickets, tansy, thistles, reed canary grass, knotweed…. you get the picture. But what is our local government doing about it, and how can we help? Join Nancy Ness, coordinator for the Grays Harbor County Noxious Weed Board on an exploratory workshop on invasive control methods in use by our local governments. Prepare for the weather with rain gear, boots, or sunscreen as needed.
If you’re living with Type 2 diabetes or at risk for it we want to help you focus on your health. Join us for a no-cost series of fun workshops hosted by Amerigroup Washington, Inc. and Summit Pacific Medical Center. At each session, we’ll discuss different, useful topics with a diabetes expert.

Art Walk is a way for us to give back to the community by showing off our Downtown and Western WA talents to the public. This event is a Non-Profit event and is FREE for the public to attend. Please join us for a one-day training for professionals who have a high degree of contact with those at elevated risk of suicide. You will increase your knowledge and skills in suicide risk detection and initial intervention to immediately reduce the risk of suicide. This interactive, hands-on workshop will cover board responsibilities, operations, development, fundraising, and advocacy. It is based on the Boards in Gear resources developed in partnership with some of our state’s leading board experts. You will leave with concrete action steps, tools, and connections.
This workshop is designed for board members and the people who work with them, namely executive directors and program staff. It offers ideas for new board members and those who have served for a long time. It is appropriate for organizations of all sizes, whether they have staff or not.

This session will be the capstone event for “Learnings from the Chehalis.” Over the past 15 years, community volunteers, citizens, and government agencies have been putting effort in to making the Chehalis River clean and healthy for people, fish and wildlife. How well have we done? This session will look at progress made on water quality improvement, salmon habitat restoration, water conservation, and the impacts of regulations and policies.
Our capstone talk will be held by a panel from the Chehalis Basin Partnership. The Chehalis Basin Partnership was formed in 1998 to provide a framework for local citizens, interest groups, and government organizations to work collaboratively to identify and solve water-related issues.
