Drivers who use the Elma Rest Area off eastbound State Route 8 in Grays Harbor County will need to plan ahead to avoid possible delays and inconveniences while some rest area services are unavailable until further notice.
Over the weekend, maintenance crews for the Washington State Department of Transportation responded immediately to water issues that intermittently closed the restroom facilities to travelers. There is no water or RV dumping services at this time. In the interim, portable bathrooms are available while crews work to remedy the situation.
WSDOT would like to thank travelers for their patience and understanding as crews work on a long-term solution. A list of Safety Rest areas available across the state are listed online.
