The Aberdeen Rotary Club honors students that set themselves apart in their academic, athletic, and community service endeavors.

Jake is a very involved student at Aberdeen High School. Jake has volunteered with Foodball for the past three years. This year he was the Chairman of Foodball, organizing the entire event. Over the 10-day course of Foodball, he worked countless hours and was present for all of the fundraising activities and food collection for the betterment of our community.

In addition, Jake has been ASB Vice President for all four years, is a member of FBLA, the school store manager and was nominated CEO for his team’s company during business week. He takes great pride in working hard and being a leader at Aberdeen High School.

Jake has maintained a 4.0 GPA while taking Advanced Placement classes and he is ranked top in his class. He plans to attend a 4 year university to study business administration.

Jake is an accomplished athlete. He has played varsity baseball and basketball all four years of his high school career. He has earned several awards in baseball including Top Scholar, Coach’s Award, Ken Waite Award, MVP, and First Team All-League while being the Team Captain. In basketball, he has earned Top Scholar. Jake has also spent many hours volunteering at several baseball camps.

Jake is the son of Chris and Amber Metke.
