The Aberdeen Rotary Club has announced Katelynn Lewis as the October Student of the Month. Katelynn is the daughter of Arnie and Maureen Lewis and ranks seventh in her class with a GPA of 3.99. She is the Swim Team Captain, a lifelong dream that she achieved last year, and also serves as President of AHS National Honor Society.
Katelynn has applied to several universities and is exploring multiple fields before selecting a major.
Each year the Rotary Club of Aberdeen honors Aberdeen High School Seniors through the Student of the Month recognition and scholarship program. One student is recognized each month between October and May. Honorees are invited to a luncheon where they receive a certificate and a check for $200. In June, two students are then selected for a $1000 “Blue” and a $2000 “Gold” scholarship to the school of their choice.
