The Hoquiam Holiday Lighted Car Parade is happening Saturday, December 21, 2024, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. The free event is open to the public. The lighted car parade winds through Hoquiam for about an hour spreading holiday happiness for all! It is no problem if you do not have a fancy car. Just decorate your vehicle with some lights and bring your holiday spirit to join in the fun. Santa will be making an appearance too. So, whether you are driving or simply watching, this is a great way to celebrate the season with family and friends. So don’t miss this magical community event!

The WinterFest Trolley Express is a family-friendly free event sure to please. The light tour runs on

Friday, December 6 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. You can get onto a trolley starting at Alder Grove Gallery on K Street. So come and hop on with your family and friends to enjoy a festive ride through the beautifully lit Broadway Hill area. Cocoa, cookies and holiday music will trim the experience in the perfect mood.

WinterFest offers fun things to do all weekend including breakfast with Santa at Messy Jessy’s. Aberdeen’s holiday market brimming with vendors will add to your shopping and browsing fun too.

You can also take a drive through the sparkling lights in the Bench Drive neighborhood. This spot is a growing light destination neighborhood and worth checking out. Local businesses are also in the holiday spirit by decorating their windows. This makes shopping for the perfect gift all the more fun.

Ace Light the Night Tour of Lights

Mark your calendar and pack up your car with cookies, holiday tunes and your favorite people to join the Ace Light the Night Tour of Lights on Monday, December 18 at 5:30 p.m. This treasured community event is one not to miss! At the start of the tour, everyone turns on their hazard lights (up to 75 cars lined up) and travels the route planned by Buck Electric Ace Hardware through brilliant light displays entered into the annual Light the Night Holiday Outdoor Decorating Contest. If you cannot attend event day, Ace is going to publish a map so you can enjoy the lights at your convenience. Be sure to visit their Facebook for the map.

Duck Lake Drive is a peaceful area that connects key neighborhoods and offers access to waterfront homes, parks and the Ocean Shores Golf Course. Duck Lake is another great route to explore to find homes decorated with elaborate lights and festive decorations.

Don’t miss the Harbor Lights Holiday Music & Laser Show at Satsop Business Park. This event is popular and happens December 11-12. There are three shows per day at 5 p.m., 7 p.m., and 9 p.m. You  must secure a free ticket here to go, as space is limited. You remain in your car to enjoy the show like a drive-in movie so remember to bring your own snacks. You will get to tune into the radio to enjoy the synchronized holiday music. Each show is 35 minutes and promises to dazzle you with spectacular laser displays.

The beloved festival gives you three days of fun-filled festivities for the whole family. There will be local vendors and plenty of cheer to get you into the Christmas spirit.

Bundle up and head to Seabrook on Saturday, December 21 for the Seabrook Holiday Parade, which starts at 6 p.m. in the Town Center. Expect good cheer, festive floats, lights, lively traditional music and a snow drop to set a perfect holiday mood. The event is free for the entire family and is part of Jolly Days. Visit Meriweather Square after the parade to admire Seabrook’s spectacular tree, a stunning centerpiece that adds even more charm Seabrook during the Christmas season.
