Hear the amazing stories of entrepreneurs who have recently graduated from Enterprise for Equity’s Business Planning Program. You will leave feeling inspired and connected to your local community after listening to these microbusiness owners share their stories of resilience and growth during this pandemic and economic recovery.
This is a virtual event that will start streaming at 7 P.M., Tuesday, October 27, 2020.
Those who register by 9 P.M. on Wednesday, October 21st will be entered into a drawing for the chance to win some amazing items donated by the same businesses you will meet at the showcase, including The Raised Bed Blooms, located in McCleary.
Enterprise for Equity (E4E) is a nonprofit organization that helps individuals with low or limited incomes start and grow their small businesses. In our programs we emphasize sustainability, personal development, and serve rural communities throughout Western Washington.

Join us on January 16th at Warrenton Cannery Rd in Grayland Washington to pick up yellow ropes and other beach trash.
Follow Highway 105 to Warrenton Cannery Road. Follow road to beach approach and look for the sign.
We will be following social distancing guidelines and wearing masks.

We will be planting trees on newly finished fish passage projects t to improve water quality and improve fish habitat.

Please park behind the main building (2720 Sumner Ave, Aberdeen, WA 98520), by Fry Creek.

Coffee, snacks, and water provided along with work gloves and trash pickers.
We will meet in the Dollar Tree Parking lot and walk Fry Creek upstream and downstream and remove any garbage that we see.

Talk Description: Orcas thrive in a land to the north, why are the southern residents endangered? A talk with Lynda Mapes, Seattle Times environment reporter about her newest book, Shared Waters Shared Home. Published with the Seattle Times and Braided River, the book is based on the internal award winning series Seattle Times Hostile Waters and uses photography by Steve Ringman and maps and explanatory graphics by artist Emily Eng to explore and explain the roots of this environmental crisis endangering the southern residents orcas that frequent Puget Sound, and the Chinook salmon they depend on. Lynda’s talk will close with a short discussion of the implications and lessons to be learned for the Chehalis Basin.

Local authors Jan Bono and Joseph Sykes will be signing books at Harbor Books in Hoquiam. Jan Bono is the author of the Sylvia Avery cozy mystery series, set on the Long Beach Peninsula, and many other works. Joseph Sykes has published numerous collection of poetry celebrating life in Grays Harbor, including I Am Inspired: A Collection of Poems for the People and Places of Grays Harbor Washington.

Aberdeen Shakespearean Theater presents “Pieces of Shakespeare”. The performance will include Jeff Ryser performing a monologue from Hamlet and Wynonna Baldwin performing the Juliet monologue. In addition we will be workshopping “Merry Wives of Windsor.” Workshopping is a theater term referring to performing with scripts in hand with suggesting changes in order to better the material.
