The Grays Harbor Stream Team is partnering up with the Washington State Parks and Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife to offer a salmon viewing tour and educational opportunity for students and community members.
We will be offering this educational opportunity where the community can learn about salmon in our watershed, their life cycle and see them spawning! The Parks will offer a Junior Ranger Program at this event.
Come join us for an informative guided tour of spawning salmon in the East Fork Satsop River. Curt Holt our Fish and Wildlife, Chehalis Basin area biologist will lead us through salmon identification, life histories, and much more! Get all your salmon questions answered! We look forward to your company, bring family and friends.

Our remarkable instructors, Redline Training Academy alongside Vemeer NW will provide you with all the necessary gear and lunch, at no cost.
This Training is available to those who are looking for employment and are at least 18+ years of age with a high school diploma or GED, have a current and valid WA state driver’s license, drug-free, have no violent or employer theft felonies, can lift and carry at least 50 pounds, ability to work on your feet all day and have barriers to employment.
The first Underground Communications Construction Training is scheduled for February 28th through March 11th, Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Training will take place at Talking Cedar in Thurston County. An exclusive Hiring Event is scheduled for these Graduates on Friday, March 11th at 8:30am, with employers offering a living wage no less than $19 per hour. Washington Sea Grant is sponsoring two one-day Sea Safety and Survival (Drill Instructor) Courses for commercial fishermen and charter boat operators.

Coursework combines lecture and hands-on experience with the safety and survival equipment now required for commercial fishing vessels. Come have your jeans repaired, and learn both hand- and machine-mending techniques for garment repair!
Kelly Hogaboom of Bespoke Hogaboom (Aberdeen, WA) will be joined by Traci Kay Pryde of Pryde Hantverk (Graham, WA) to a Mending Lab in Hoquiam at ART HQx! Saturday June 18th!
They will be demonstrating jean and garment repair – you can bring YOUR item that needs to be mended or altered, and they will take a look! They will do as much mending as they can onsite, and they will also have resources to share about how to mend and care for your clothing for a more sustainable, cost-savings wardrobe.
