Come celebrate summer at the beach with one of the largest events in Ocean Shores – Five Star Dealerships’ Sand and Sawdust Festival on Friday, June 28th through Sunday, June 30^th. This free annual festival located at the Ocean Shores Convention Center celebrates our State’s timberlands and our beaches with a Chainsaw Art Show and Auction and Sandcastle and Sand Sculpture Contest.

Join the McCleary Museum and Event Center for a Mocktail Social from 3:00-3:30 followed by “Neil Diamond Nights” a tribute performance from Music Memories with Terry Bartelme from 3:30-4:30

First Presbyterian Church of Aberdeen will hold four concerts this summer as part of our summer lawn concert series. The performances will be held Wednesday, July 10, July 24, August 14, and August 28 at 6:30 PM.

Performers for the series will include:

Jul 10 – Approaching Standards, Local Jazz Group
Jul 24 – The Other Thing, Bellingham-based Jazz Group
Aug 14 – Angel Phoenix, Local Vocalist
Aug 28 – The Coast Trio, Featuring John & Leslie O’Brien and Debbie Akerlund

Concerts are free; attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. If inclement weather, the concerts will be moved inside of the church.

The Ms.Maki Quartet will be performing blues, swing and a little bit of everything.  Open to all ages.  Donations for the McCleary Food bank will be accepted.

Celebrate spooky season in the dark northwest forests by solving a murder mystery at the Lake Quinault Lodge. Come dressed in your best 1920s costume, enjoy a premium buffet dinner from the Roosevelt Room, and flout prohibition with cocktails and other drinks. Anticipate mystery, hijinks, and maybe even a haunting. Anything can happen out here.

All costumes are welcome. There will be a prize for the best dressed.

In residence at Grays Harbor College in Aberdeen, Washington, the Coast Trio specializes in repertoire for violin, viola and cello. Because of the versatility of their instruments they are able to perform a wide variety of music featuring everything from the classics of Corelli, Handel, Beethoven and Mozart, to tangos, movie music, Elvis and Taylor Swift.

Acoustic Rock Musician, Jon Reynolds will be performing a variety of rock covers and originals at this all ages evening performance.

On February 23, from 3pm to 5pm, Lee and Dani Bacon, the founders of UNPLUGGED: Kurt Cobain Tribute Museum and the Music Project will present a FREE lecture titled The Life and Times of Kurt Cobain in the sunroom of the Sea Glass Grill at Westport Winery Garden Resort. The couple will offer Nirvana and Cobain fans significant insights into the band’s phenomenal success and its impact on our community. Their museum has a strong focus on the grunge music era, what inspired the artists, and why their music struck so deeply in the hearts of their fans.

Lee and Dani opened the museum in 2024, but their adventure began when they purchased the Cobain family home with the idea of preserving it, but without a specific plan. Their story is nearly as fascinating as the grunge music history they celebrate. Guests will get a look behind the scenes at the evolution and future of their incredible museum. UNPLUGGED is open Friday through Sunday from 11am to 5pm at 121 W. Wishkah in Aberdeen.

Jeff Evans, voted Seattle’s funniest magician, is bringing his talent to the McCleary Museum & Event Center for an evening of fun and amazement.  This all ages show is perfect for the whole family!  Don’t miss The Amazing Magic Show with Jeff Evans at 7:00PM Saturday, March 22, 2025.  Tickets available online, by calling the event center at 360-964-0561 or at the door.

The Museum of the North Beach will be hosting Avalon Glassworks from West Seattle at the historic Dorothy Anderson Cabin in Seabrook for their annual art glass float sale on Sunday, March 30 from 10:00am to 3:00pm.

The 2025 special edition Moclips float called “Bioluminescence” glows in the dark!  A layer of glowing glass powder encases a base of bright turquoise blue with raised ribs inspired by ocean waves.   Each float measures 4″ in diameter and is stamped “Moclips-By-The-Sea” on the sealing button.

The float sells for $50.00 with 50% of the proceeds going to the Museum.  This is the 21st special edition Moclips glass float produced by Avalon.
