The history of salmon sport fishing in our community is long and colorful. Hundreds of thousands of people have visited Westport in pursuit of salmon and thousands of skippers and deckhands have worked here.
During this exciting two-day event we will hold the Pacific Northwest’s Biggest Smoked Salmon Competition with pro smokers competing for bragging rights! Located across the law will be our Beer Garden featuring Westport Brewing Company selections. Live music, fishing, derby, salmon related vendors and contests with prizes valued over $4,000 round out the event. For complete event details, visit our website here.
Community party with FREE hot dogs and pop, games for the kids, music and the nighttime Firefly Parade at 8pm traveling down State Route 105 past the Fire House.
Mommy-Son Dance sponsored by Aberdeen Young Mothers. Get your photo taken by Heidi McKinney Photography to capture the special evening. Pictures are $10 for a 5×7 print. All proceeds are going to support the Park Project at Pioneer Park Little League Field.
Enjoy original songs by Bushwick Book Club Seattle, as they pay musical tribute to the book, “Closer to the Ground: An Outdoor Family’s Year on the Water, in the Woods, and at the Table” by Dylan Tomine. This program is part of Timberland Reads Together, Timberland Regional Library’s one book-one community reading initiative for 2014.
“Grays Harbor Rockfest 3” – Headlining: Bill Manspeaker – Green Jello “Three Little Pigs” – Bill Manspeaker will be preforming & providing a class on puppet making.
Which also includes performances by Gebular, The People Now, TSAVO, Full Moon Radio, Fishing With Bigfoot, Within The Pride, Letzer Guiest, Motar, Anitize, The Bangalores, Reverent Circle; plus other individuals playing solo are Gabriel Woldchild, Branden Depriest, Chris McCorrkle, Murray Flint, Jessica Mullins, Mook & his Jiggs, Michael B Johnson, Chris Johnson & Clint (Dogger) Mullins.
From 10 a.m.-noon, Class on Rock Music,which is included in the price of the admission. Concert commences noon-11:30 p.m.
Bring your own lawn chairs to the concert and plan on staying the whole day.

There’s nothing that brings out the joy of the Christmas season quite like music. The Grays Harbor Civic Choir will be performing “Seven Joys of Christmas” as well as traditional carols and an audience sing-along at the Bishop Center for Performing Arts at Grays Harbor Community College.

Enjoy seasonal music performed by the Elma High School Chamber Singers. Director Aaron Zassenhaus will lead an advanced student choir in seasonal carols to usher in the holidays. Light refreshments will be served by the Friends of the Elma Timberland Library.

The Metales M5 theatrical show Vuelta de Fuego is a delightful blend of great music, outstanding musicianship, effortless virtuosity, humor, and a winning rapport with the audience. Whether playing Bach, Bernstein, Humperdinck, or Piozzolla, this concert by Mexico’s foremost brass quintet is fun, surprising and unexpected! Outstanding piano and voice students will perform in a concert open to the public for free. These students have participated in the WSMTA educational adjudications program. Highlighting the evening will be performances by Micah Hollen and Clara Park, the state representative and alternate for our local association. Other students performing include: Maria Hasbrouck, James Hamilton, Daniel Han, Megan Peterson, Stephanie Everson, Kevin Eng, Alana Everson, Lizzie Peterson, Emma Marchese, SaraRose Gallo, Megan Folkers, Mallory Schneider, Kendra Gross and Hannah Hamilton. Voice students of Christine Hill and Kari Hasbrouck will be selected to perform after their adjudications this weekend.
