WorkSource has partnered with Redline Training Academy to provide you a certified FREE, 10-day, Underground Communication Construction Training in Thurston County. This is a chance for you to explore and learn career opportunities within the underground communications, broadband and construction industries. Our remarkable instructors, Redline Training Academy alongside Vemeer NW will provide you with all the necessary gear and lunch, at no cost.
This Training is available to those who are looking for employment and are at least 18+ years of age with a high school diploma or GED, have a current and valid WA state driver’s license, drug-free, have no violent or employer theft felonies, can lift and carry at least 50 pounds, ability to work on your feet all day and have barriers to employment.
The first Underground Communications Construction Training is scheduled for February 28th through March 11th, Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Training will take place at Talking Cedar in Thurston County. An exclusive Hiring Event is scheduled for these Graduates on Friday, March 11th at 8:30am, with employers offering a living wage no less than $19 per hour. Participants must complete and provide all necessary documentation requested within theregistration form. Ocean Shores, WA- The Coastal Interpretive Center is hosting the Beach Treasures Yard Sale at the NORTH BEACH VFW POST in Ocean Shores. The FOSLS LAKE SYLVIA STATE PARK FALL FESTIVAL continues the tradition for our 12th year!
Come join us on SUNDAY, September 10th, 2023 from 8:30 – 4:00 for a day filled with fun and family activities.
If you enjoy running we have trail Races that begin at 8:30 am. From 10 – 4, you can find one of a kind art and hand crafted treasures at the Artisans Market and eat delicious food while enjoying great live music by talented local acts all on the peaceful shores of beautiful Lake Sylvia. There will also be a kayak paddling adventure, a Watershed Festival by the GH Stream Team, Galaxy Harbor Dancers and educational exhibits in the Legacy Pavilion. You can decorate a pumpkin or take a group photo in our photo booth and we will have kids activities as well.
Park for free at Simpson School (519 Simpson Ave W, Montesano WA), and take a free shuttle to the Festival. Parking inside the park is limited and requires a Discover Pass. As part of First Presbyterian Church of Aberdeen’s mission to the community, our church will hold a spaghetti dinner and craft fair on Saturday, November 2 nd from 5:00-7:00 pm. Funds raised will be used to purchase stocking caps, socks and gloves for those in need. The dinner will include spaghetti, salad, bread, dessert, and beverage. Vegetarian & Gluten Free options are available. The cost is $10 for adults and $7 for children 12 and under. Crafts for the event are being made and donated by the congregation.
Tickets can be purchased at the church office or at the door the day of the event.
