Opiate Overdose Prevention Workshop @ Elma Timberland Library

Citizen Corps Meeting @ Grays Harbor County Forestry Building

The agenda will include the formation of a COAD (Community Organized to Assist in Disaster) group for Grays Harbor. We will be inviting members from various groups involved in Housing, volunteer labor, CERT Teams, Faith Based Teams, Red Cross, Salvation Army, Home Depot, translators, Amateur Radio,  Pet and livestock assistance to begin in the formation of a one stop contact group for help during disaster events.

Please bring your ideas questions, and comments to this initial meeting.

A delicious buffet dinner of prime rib with all the fixings and yummy seafood appetizer stations are the perfect added touch to kick off a great night of fun for all. Also, we will be treated to musical performance by local legend, Ericka Corban.

The evening will conclude with a live auction with many desirable items. Not to mention there will also be a blind wine pull, where for only $20 you can get a bottle of wine that has a minimum value of $20 all the way up $100! Razor Clam Festival @ Ocean Shores Convention Center

The 12th Annual Ocean Shores Razor Clam Festival & Seafood Extravaganza, chowder competitions, food, vendors, family zone, and MORE. Fun for the whole family.

There will also be a clam dig that will begin around 5:30 p.m., but then come on back once you’ve gotten your 15 clams so you can warm up and enjoy a Karaoke Contest with $1000 in prize money! 1st place will receive a $500 prize, 2nd place will receive $350, and 3rd place will receive $150. The first 40 people to sign up and pay the $25 entry fee will be entered into the contest which will begin at 7:00 p.m.

Grays Harbor Happenings: the Newsreels of C.D. Anderson @ McCleary Timberland Library

The McCleary Historical Society and the McCleary Timberland Library are hosting “Grays Harbor Happenings: the Newsreels of C.D. Anderson” on the big screen.
The documentary highlights the discovery of newsreel footage of the 1920s from Grays Harbor County, the preservation of the films, and a community embracing its history. Produced, written, and directed by Ann Coppel, with narration by Grant Goodeve of the popular KING-TV series “Northwest Backroads”.

St. Patrick’s Day Art Show @ Town Hall

Get inspired this St. Patrick’s Day by perusing original art created by the Grays Harbor community. North Coast Montessori, an elementary and middle school in Seabrook, Washington’s beach town, will host its second annual St. Patrick’s Day Art Show.

The exhibit will showcase original work in various media – including paintings, drawings, prints, photography, mixed media and sculpture – from artists of all ages who live or work in Grays Harbor County, Washington. Thirty percent of event proceeds will be donated to the North Coast Montessori Scholarship Fund, which contributes to full and partial scholarships to the school for students in grades K-8. The goal of the event is to provide scholarships for 1-2 students for the 2018-19 school year.

Guests can enjoy refreshments, green beer and champagne while appreciating local artists’ creations. After finding their next masterpiece, visitors can explore the surrounding area’s quaint shops, walking trails, parks and homes.
