Grays Harbor County’s Public Health and Social Services Department, in partnership with local art guilds and associations, is hosting an “Art for Health” Gala to promote the positive impact art has on our community’s health. You can find more information at http://www.healthygh.org/art
The concerts will include pop classic songs from the “Sixties” such as: Aquarius, It’s My Party, Leavin’ On A Jet Plane, Puff the Magic Dragon.
The concert dates are scheduled for Friday and Saturday evenings, May 20 and May 21 at 7:00 p.m.
Another performance will be held Sunday afternoon, May 22 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel By the Sea, 4612 State Route 109 in Moclips.
Admission is a donation of food or money to the North Beach Food Banks. These are greatly appreciated.

SummerFest kicks off at Oyhut Bay on Memorial Day Weekend. Bring the family and enjoy live music from local favorites, The Bruce Hughes Band.
Nosh on a picnic-style catered dinner with dessert from Emily’s Confections and refreshments for the first 100 guests, compliments of Oyhut Bay.

Free fun for the whole family! Afternoon outdoor concert in the plaza at Oyhut Bay with singer/songwriter Abi Grace. Oyhut Bay is a new community of cozy cottages and retail located five miles south of Downtown Ocean Shores.
Grays Harbor Symphony Orchestra members are preparing “An American Salute” concert for their annual spring performance.
Conducted by William Dyer, the community musicians will play some familiar tunes like Sousa’s “The Stars and Stripes” and Copland’s “Hoedown.” Soprano Joy Dorsch will be featured in selections from Copland’s “Old American Songs.”

South Beach Arts Association will open That Summer Gallery every Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. from July 1 through Sept 25. Over 50 artists from the Harbor and surrounding communities will display and sell their artwork. Wide variety of medium including glass, pottery, hand tied knots on glass floats, jewelry, mosaics, silver jewelry, painting, photography
During the summer, there will be special weekends at the gallery. July 1–4 will feature artwork from grade school students who participated in the Fine Arts portion of the After School Program at Ocosta School. Members of the SBAA took turns teaching an art medium each month. The following is a schedule of other special weekends to look forward to this summer at the gallery:
- July 9–10: Garden art and plant sale
- Aug. 6–7: Join us for a collaborative urban art project.
- Aug. 27: Silk scarf painting demonstration with Kristi Beitzel
- Sept 24–25: Fall Out with the miniature art exhibit.

The 8th annual “Tee it up for Dogs” golf tournament takes place at the Lake Limerick Golf Course in Shelton. Come support the Adopt-a-Pet dog shelter and put your handicap to good use. The entry of $85 per person includes golf cart, 18 holes of golf, lunch, and awards. Maybe you will even win the prize for craziest golf pants! Sponsorship opportunities are also available. The registration deadline is July 5.
This is a fundraising event for the museum. Tickets will not be sold, but donations are gladly accepted.
