The Library will show two movies every Friday featuring favorite movie heroes. The 10:30 a.m. movie is for younger kids; the 2:00 p.m. movie is for older kids and teens. If you have ever wanted to participate in a triathlon, or are looking for a fun summer run around the city of Ocean Shores, the Ocean Shores Tri and Foot Fest is exactly what you are looking for. Offering 11 different styles of races over two days, the Tri and Foot Fest is one of the more inviting for those looking to bike, swim, run, or do all three. On Saturday, July 11, there will be numerous triathlon, duathlon and aqua bike races. On Sunday, July 12, there is a half marathon, 10k run and a 5k run, each showing off the beauty of the Ocean Shores region. With the route being mostly flat, enjoy running along the beach, near wildlife areas and over the miles of canals in Ocean Shores.
Bring your ideas and sketches, we’ll provide the supplies to complete your comic strip. If you are entering 6th – 12th grade, enter the TRL Comic Strip Contest. The 2015 Mini-camp session of 7th Street Kids will perform Disney’s “The Jungle Book Kids” Friday, July 17 at 3:00 p.m. at the theater. This musical production features 20 kids ages 6 – 12 and runs about 30 minutes. Admission is free! There will be a brief preview of the larger production “My Son, Pinocchio” prior to the start of Jungle Book.
