The Grays Harbor Community Foundation addresses community needs by supporting nonprofit organizations throughout Grays Harbor County. The Foundation recognizes that the needs of our community are many. We support organizations in arts and culture, education, health and human services. Grant applications from all nonprofit organizations that meet our priorities and that are serving local residents are welcomed and encouraged.

The Community Building Grants program will now award funds twice annually to nonprofits in the typical range of $1,000 to $15,000. The new deadlines will be February 1 and September 1 with an additional grant cycle exclusively for school districts and Grays Harbor College with a deadline of June 1.

Organizations may receive one Community Building Grant award per 12-month period and preference is given to those organizations who have not received Foundation grants in recent years.  The Community Building Grants program is not a source of ongoing funding for organizations.

Each year, the Foundation typically budgets around $600,000 to award schools and nonprofits in Grays Harbor through our Community Grants Program. Executive Director, Eric Potts said, “Each quarter we are seeing more organizations apply for funding.  Our hope is that our new structure will allow organizations to have ample time to strategically prioritize funding needs that will result in them providing the best quality services for the residents of Grays Harbor.”
