On April 15, 2022 Dori Unterseher, MN, RN was named as the new Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) for Harbor Regional Health.

Dori joined Harbor Regional Health in January of 1992 as Manager of the Critical Care Unit. Later that year she also took over management of the Emergency Department. In subsequent years she was promoted to the position of Director and in 2007 she also took responsibility for the Ambulatory Infusion Services and Cardiac Rehab Departments.

During her time as Emergency Department Director, Dori was instrumental in expanding the new Emergency Department from 11 to 19 rooms. In 2007 she earned her Master of Nursing degree from the University of Washington Tacoma. In 2009 Dori transitioned to Director of Education where she took on responsibility for both the new employee and continuing education for all Community Hospital staff and providers. In partnerships with local school districts, she developed and led the Professional Medical Careers program for high school students to earn their Nursing Assistant- Certified licensure. This program has served as an entry level to healthcare for many students and has provided much needed support to our nursing departments. Dori also organized the annual Rock Your Health Fair at the South Shore Mall until COVID put an end to those gatherings and was pivotal in providing vaccines for Grays Harbor County’s COVID mass vaccination site at the Port of Grays Harbor.

Dori’s years of experience and nursing leadership capabilities, as well as her educational background have made her the right choice to take the helm of our Nursing Division during this most crucial time.

Dori is a passionate and dedicated member of our team and has already made great strides in her time serving as Interim CNO from January to April. We have complete confidence Dori will continue to be successful in regenerating and moving the Nursing Division forward to help Harbor Regional Health fulfill our mission to heal, comfort, and serve everyone with dignity and compassion. Please join us in welcoming Dori to this new role.
