The McCleary Bear Festival offers Breakfast with Santa and a silent tree auction on the first Saturday of December each year. These events kick of the Committee’s fundraising and community service activities for the festival court.
Breakfast served 8am-11am.

This inaugural event brings Fair Trade gift items, local vendors and the Patisserie featuring Loli Gay’s Cheesecake, tasty baked goods from Ocean Shores IGA and Oyhut Market Bakery. Global artisans from Ukraine, Haiti, Mexico, US and around the world will be featured. Grays Harbor will be introduced to new Fair Trade pieces. Net proceeds benefit North Beach Medical Equipment.

As part of the city’s 3rd annual Christmas in McCleary, the McCleary Civic Renewal Council is hosting the Jingle Bear Trot to accompany the city’s annual tree lighting celebration to mark the start of the holiday season. Enjoy our leisurely 1-mile or 5K trot around the Beerbower Park, which will be decorated in holiday lights and displays. Dress up in your
favorite holiday costume or bring jingle bells to help spread the cheer. Prizes will be awarded for best costumes!

Every year, on the first Saturday of the month, the City of McCleary kicks off the holiday season by lighting up the train, which stays lit throughout the month. The train is located in the center of town at Beerbower Park.
The Jingle Bear Trot, a night run, trot, walk around the park on a holiday decorated course, is held right before the lighting and SpodyFest Christmas Convoy and Free showing of The Nightmare Before Christmas follow.

Movie starts with plenty of time to transition from the train lighting and SpodyFest Christmas Convoy. Cost is free. Concessions available for purchase.

Noon Year’s Eve Party: Shine Bright in the New Year
Shine bright and ring in the new year early with special activities that sparkle, shine, glimmer, and glow at the Noon Year’s Eve Party, Dec. 31. Celebrate with a family countdown and ball drop, dance party, and parade every hour, 10 am – 4 pm!
Meet a magical princess, enjoy exciting craft and science activities that glimmer and glow, and snap a keepsake photo in our photobooth.

Sensory Friendly Room & Art Time
The Museum is committed to creating an inclusive sensory friendly space to support families with autism, sensory differences, and special needs. Our Sensory Friendly Room is a (safe and calm) space where you and your child can relax and regroup. Here you can find books, soothing textures, tools and resources. Stay as long or as little as you like. Hours: 9 am – 4 pm
