![Global Entrepreneurship Week: Business Kickoff Event @ Grays Harbor College | Aberdeen | Washington | United States](https://www.graysharbortalk.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/Grays-Harbor-GEW-Image-231x300.jpg)
The Global Entrepreneurship Week: Business Kickoff Event will offer aspiring entrepreneurs free information, resources, support, and inspiration needed to successfully start a business. Participants will receive a specialized form that will assist in organizing the information available at this event. This form will keep track of who they’ve spoken to, services that are useful to them specifically, and how to get in contact with those resources at a future date.
After an hour or so of informational browsing, there will be a brief speech offered by a local entrepreneur sharing some of the hardships and successes they’ve experienced while starting and developing their business.
After that will be additional time to gather information, and finishing the evening off with a free drawing for a prize basket.
![Alder Creek Clean Up @ Alder Creek | Aberdeen | Washington | United States](https://www.graysharbortalk.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/China-Creek-Clean-Up-Day-019-300x189.jpg)
Join the Aberdeen Stream Team in cleaning up Aberdeen’s urban creek – Alder Creek. Gloves and refreshments will be provided. Plan on bringing long-sleeves and sturdy shoes. You’ll get wet and muddy, but have fun, too!
The event starts at 10 am on Saturday, April 23rd — just after Earth Day! This is a great way to give back to your community and make Aberdeen a cleaner place.
People in the Northwest have reported encounters with Sasquatch for hundreds of years. There are footprint casts and eyewitness accounts, some from the earliest Northwestern inhabitants. With all this “evidence,” however, researchers have failed to scientifically prove the creature’s existence.
Author David George Gordon will discuss the data, the scientific method, and the possibilities that Sasquatch exists at the Amanda Park Timberland Library, Saturday, March 18 from 2-3 p.m.
Join us as we salute Arnold Samuels, a local legend, and meet his biographer, John C. Hughes, chief historian for the Office of the Secretary of State.
Samuels’ remarkable Army service during WWII found him serving in Counter Intelligence Corps, helping liberate the horrific concentration camp at Dachau and working with another young Jewish G.I., Henry Kissinger. Arnold Samuels is also the only person ever elected to the Ocean Shores City Council as a write-in.
Don’t miss this opportunity to own a signed copy of Washington Remembers WWII! Be there for this extraordinary presentation!
Group meets most Saturdays – double check with Buck’s Bikes to make sure a ride is taking place.
We primarily ride the mountain bike trails in and around Seabrook. We don’t leave people behind and try to stay in a group riding at a fun and relaxed pace. That being said, the trails may be found challenging to the very beginner or new rider. Helmets required.
The American Lung Association is holding Reach the Beach, an inaugural bike riding fundraiser, on Saturday, September 30. This event has staggered starts in Lacey (100 mile), Olympia (80 mile), Elma (44 mile), Cosmopolis 25 mile) with the finish line in Westport.
The last stop on the ride before the finish is at Westport Winery Garden Resort between 1pm and 4pm. The event closes with dinner on the beach for the anticipated 1000 participants. The race organizers will be selling Westport’s wines by the glass to participants and their guests during dinner.
Join us for a non-denominational, yet spiritual celebration on Christmas Eve. All are welcome.
