A master of many musical styles and instruments, Dean Ratzman will entertain audiences at the Aberdeen Timberland Library in August.
This afternoon show features family-friendly tunes. Light refreshments courtesy of the Friends of the Aberdeen Timberland Library.
Ratzman’s shows swing with music from the 1940s through Big Band, Jazz, Blues, Rock and Soul. From Sinatra to Santana, he taps into the musical memories of three generations.

Aberdeen Timberland Library presents LEGO® Club, 3:30-5:30 p.m., October 19 for grades 1-6. Explore your creativity and exercise your brain. Have fun building with LEGO® bricks at the library. Make your own creations or get inspiration from the library’s collection of LEGO® books. For more information call 360-533-2360.
Oakville Timberland Library presents Spooky Art, 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m., October 22 for children. Young artists wanted at the library to create spooky crafts and checkout hair-raising books. Costumes are welcome, but not required. For more information call 360-273-5305.
Hoquiam Timberland Library presents Dinosaurs vs. Pirates, 2:30-4 p.m., October 22 for children. In an epic event for the ages, we will celebrate the love of both dinosaurs and pirates with crafts, games, and snacks! For more information call 360-532-1710.
The Elma Chamber of Commerce, along with Elma Businesses invite families to the 18th annual Elma Downtown Trick or Treat on Monday, October 31st. Bring your trick or treaters from 3:00 – 6:00 PM to the Elma Chamber and participating businesses. Enjoy a wagon ride on the Elma Feed Store shuttle, which will be loading and unloading at the Elma Chamber.

The Harvest Fair Carnival at the Elma Middle School will be on Monday, October 31, sponsored by the Churches of Elma. The Harvest Fair Carnival is from 5:00 – 7:30 PM and all the “FUN” is free!
The opening reception for the community’s annual Fall Gala art exhibit is slated for Friday, November 4, at the Spellman Library gallery on the Grays Harbor College campus in Aberdeen. The reception is planned from 6 to 8 p.m. This is the 24th annual Fall exhibit by the group of area artists.
Participating Harbor artists include Kathryn Cotnoir, Matthew Coyle, Julie Daniels, Ken Hunt, Kimmi Kerns, Brent Knott, Susan LaMadrid, Loni Lou LaQuill, Carrie L. Larson, Joan Lohr, Roy Lowry, Bev King Lufkin, Ivy M. Moyer, Douglas Orr, Brenda S. Peterson, Erik Sandgren, Ed Schroll, Barb Shillinger, Cara Beth Stevenson, Andrea Vingo, Ron Westman and Nathan Whorton.
The exhibit may also be viewed through December 9 during regular library hours, which are Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Thursdays until 6 p.m., Fridays until 4:30 p.m.; and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
