Come celebrate summer at the beach with one of the largest events in Ocean Shores – Five Star Dealerships’ Sand and Sawdust Festival on Friday, June 28th through Sunday, June 30^th. This free annual festival located at the Ocean Shores Convention Center celebrates our State’s timberlands and our beaches with a Chainsaw Art Show and Auction and Sandcastle and Sand Sculpture Contest.

First Presbyterian Church of Aberdeen will hold four concerts this summer as part of our summer lawn concert series. The performances will be held Wednesday, July 10, July 24, August 14, and August 28 at 6:30 PM.

Performers for the series will include:

Jul 10 – Approaching Standards, Local Jazz Group
Jul 24 – The Other Thing, Bellingham-based Jazz Group
Aug 14 – Angel Phoenix, Local Vocalist
Aug 28 – The Coast Trio, Featuring John & Leslie O’Brien and Debbie Akerlund

Concerts are free; attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. If inclement weather, the concerts will be moved inside of the church.

As part of the Bear Festival festivities, the McCleary Civic Renewal Council is hosting a 1.25-mile or 5Kish run, trot, and walk through the city of McCleary. Costumes are encouraged, and prizes will be awarded for best costumes! Judging will be done by the Bear Festival Royalty Court

The Ms.Maki Quartet will be performing blues, swing and a little bit of everything.  Open to all ages.  Donations for the McCleary Food bank will be accepted.

The Olympia Women’s Jazz Choir will be bringing their holiday spirit as they share seasonal favorites under the direction of Jessica Blinn

In residence at Grays Harbor College in Aberdeen, Washington, the Coast Trio specializes in repertoire for violin, viola and cello. Because of the versatility of their instruments they are able to perform a wide variety of music featuring everything from the classics of Corelli, Handel, Beethoven and Mozart, to tangos, movie music, Elvis and Taylor Swift.

Acoustic Rock Musician, Jon Reynolds will be performing a variety of rock covers and originals at this all ages evening performance.

CJ & V, a Grays Harbor favorite, is a musical duo covering favorite hits from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and more!

THE Artisan Faire and Washington State Chili Cookoff. It’s Saturday and Sunday, June 14 and 15 at Ocean Shores Convention Center. (Chili cookoff is Sunday.) Food Truck FUN is both days. We have a variety including vendors offering specials featuring chili. A new vendor will have wood fired pizza!

Both benefit charities. Freaks at the Beach is happening in Pacific Hall.

(We also have prize drawings throughout the show. Passport Grand Prize is a stay at The Grey Gull. Adoptions for Green Lake residents will be available for people to select a resident for a summertime gift package.)
