The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) has proposed a series of razor clam digs in April and May to cap a season packed with more “beach days” than any time in the past 25 years.
After a nine-day opening that runs through March 24, state shellfish managers plan to end the season with another 24 days of digging on morning low tides at various beaches from April 4 through May 17.

Registrations for the 2015 Celebrity Golf Tournament are now being accepted. Don’t miss this annual fundraiser for Summit Pacific Medical Foundation. The foundation is collecting both guest registrations and event sponsorships. Over 27 teams participated in 2014, and we are sure that even more will register this year, so make sure to get your registration turned in asap to reserve your spot! Survivors can register on-line prior to the Relay by going to RelayForLifeofGraysHarbor.org, click on “join” and fill out the form. Or they can call 1-800-227-2345 and do it over the phone. This allows them to not stand in line at Relay to register and get their free t-shirt and 2015 survivor medal — they can just go right to the t-shirt line, tell us they are registered, and get them without waiting. We will have special reserved seating at the Start/Finish line for our Survivors, as well as snacks in the Survivor tent prior to the start of Relay.

Join the North Beach Singers on a magical journey through the wonderful world of Disney music. Selections will include early classics to recent releases.
Admission is a donation of food or money to the North Beach Food Banks. These are greatly appreciated.

The theme for this spring concert is “A Night at the Oscars,” featuring movie classics as well as a few surprises. Under the baton of conductor William Dyer, the Grays Harbor Symphony Orchestra also shines the spotlight on talented young musicians, selected to perform at this concert by area music teachers.

At the Convention Center master woodcarvers from all over the world compete in this amazing annual competition. There are vendors, food sales and the live auctions are held daily on carvings! Families and children are invited to enter the sand-sculpting competition or learn sand-sculpting skills at the free lessons.

The City of Aberdeen was founded by Mr. Samuel Benn on May 28, 1868, when Sam and his family landed on the banks of the Lower Chehalis. Mr. Benn’s birthday, July 2, is our official Founders’ Day. Join us the Saturday prior to Independence Day each year to celebrate our city and its rich history full of logging, fishing, saloons, brothels, crime, mystery, culture and much, much more.
There will be a parade starting at 11:00 a.m., once the parade is over stroll to Broadway Street to enjoy the children’s fun area and vendors of all kinds. Enjoy the day and end it with a Beer Garden with live music to dance to your hearts content.

On Sunday, July 12, there is a half marathon, 10k run and a 5k run, each showing off the beauty of the Ocean Shores region. With the route being mostly flat, enjoy running along the beach, near wildlife areas and over the miles of canals in Ocean Shores.
