Enjoy original songs by Bushwick Book Club Seattle, as they pay musical tribute to the book, “Closer to the Ground: An Outdoor Family’s Year on the Water, in the Woods, and at the Table” by Dylan Tomine. This program is part of Timberland Reads Together, Timberland Regional Library’s one book-one community reading initiative for 2014.
Participating Harbor artists include Elizabeth Bolton, Kathi Butorac, Kathryn Cotnoir, Matthew Coyle, Julie Daniels, Kathryn Decker, Kathleen Graddy, Ken Hunt, Robert Hunter, Brent Knott, Susan LaMadrid, Carrie Larson, Bev King Lufkin, Ivy Moyer, Linda K. Parisi, Cayla Quinton, Erik Sandgren, Cara Beth Stevenson and Nathan Whorton.
The exhibit may also be viewed through December 11 during regular library hours, which are Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Thursdays until 6 p.m., Fridays until 4:30 p.m.; and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
“Grays Harbor Rockfest 3” – Headlining: Bill Manspeaker – Green Jello “Three Little Pigs” – Bill Manspeaker will be preforming & providing a class on puppet making.
Which also includes performances by Gebular, The People Now, TSAVO, Full Moon Radio, Fishing With Bigfoot, Within The Pride, Letzer Guiest, Motar, Anitize, The Bangalores, Reverent Circle; plus other individuals playing solo are Gabriel Woldchild, Branden Depriest, Chris McCorrkle, Murray Flint, Jessica Mullins, Mook & his Jiggs, Michael B Johnson, Chris Johnson & Clint (Dogger) Mullins.
From 10 a.m.-noon, Class on Rock Music,which is included in the price of the admission. Concert commences noon-11:30 p.m.
Bring your own lawn chairs to the concert and plan on staying the whole day.

During Advent, Saron Lutheran Church will host an exhibition of visual art and writing that responds to the quiet, anticipatory aspects of the season. This show, “Out of Darkness,” showcases art and poetry which sets a reflective mood, serving as a place of rest and deeper contemplation in the midst of the hectic and sometimes superficial rush of holiday bustle.
The exhibit will run November 22 – December 21. The public is invited to take a break from holiday shopping and stop by during special open hours on Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., and Sundays from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
An opening reception, complete with music, refreshments, and readings. Come see these creative, personal interpretations of what “Out of Darkness” can mean.

There’s nothing that brings out the joy of the Christmas season quite like music. The Grays Harbor Civic Choir will be performing “Seven Joys of Christmas” as well as traditional carols and an audience sing-along at the Bishop Center for Performing Arts at Grays Harbor Community College.

Enjoy seasonal music performed by the Elma High School Chamber Singers. Director Aaron Zassenhaus will lead an advanced student choir in seasonal carols to usher in the holidays. Light refreshments will be served by the Friends of the Elma Timberland Library.

Bring your current DIY arts project and network with other creative folks after hours in the library. Join us whether your thing is knitting or calligraphy, crocheting or embroidery, or anything in between. Swap stories and tips from past successes or failures. Enjoy refreshments, courtesy of the Friends of the Aberdeen Timberland Library. Plan to enter before the library closes at 7 p.m. Services will not be available after the library closes.

Come and enjoy wine tasting from more than 20 Washington wineries, enjoy the beer garden, wine sales, food booths, gift and merchandise, booths and live entertainment throughout the day.
