Come out to see cult classic and rarity Miami Connection (1987) at the historic 7th Street Theatre! All proceeds for this showing benefit the local animal rescue Harbor Rescue – “saving people, one dog at a time”!
We worked hard to get a super fun, cult-following film! Don’t miss out on a one-time event! We will also be featuring food and raffle items from local businesses such as Passport Cafe and Rediviva. This isn’t just a movie, it’s a fun community event and it’s all for a good cause – helping Harbor Rescue with abandonment and neglect cases and making life better for all citizens of Grays Harbor – four-legged and two-legged.
“The year is 1987. Motorcycle ninjas tighten their grip on Floridaβs narcotics trade, viciously annihilating anyone who dares move in on their turf. Multi-national martial arts rock band Dragon Sound have had enough, and embark on a roundhouse wreck-wave of crime-crushing justice. When not chasing beach bunnies or performing their hit song βAgainst the Ninja,β Mark (taekwondo master/inspirational speaker Y.K. Kim) and the boys are kicking and chopping at the drug worldβs smelliest underbelly. Itβll take every ounce of their blood and courage, but Dragon Sound canβt stop until theyβve completely destroyed the dealers, the drunk bikers, the kill-crazy ninjas, the middle-aged thugs, the βstupid cocaineββ¦and the entire MIAMI CONNECTION!”
The film is not rated. It features drug references, brief nudity, and martial arts violence.
Itβs the Sprout Film Festival and itβs here in Grays Harbor! Come enjoy an enlightening film featuring people with disabilities. The Arc and People First of Grays Harbor are hosting this film May 16th at 7pm at the 7th Street Theatre. The event includes 12 fun and inspirational films introducing people with disabilities, their challenges, and successes. Our goal is to raise awareness about the concerns and achievements people with intellectual and developmental disabilities face daily. The festival is engaging, interesting, and promotes inclusion. They will also be raffling a quilt made by self advocates of Quilt Harbor!
People first and the Arc of Grays Harbor are local advocates improving the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities. Tickets are ten dollars each or a family pack of five tickets for twenty five dollars. Tickets available at the theatre, online at brown paper tickets, or at the Arc of Grays Harbor call today 537-7000

“The Iron Giant” is one of those rare animated features that offers plenty of fun and action to keep the kids entertained, wrapped around engaging characters and a story with a strong message.
Made in 1999, and based on a story by the British poet laureate Ted Hughes, the film takes place at the height of the Cold War and Sputnik-inspired anxieties and is loaded with period references to alarm over the Soviet threat and grade-B sci-fi and monster movies of the era.
The “iron giant” is a robot that drops from the sky and frightens a small town, setting off an overly zealous government agent. With the unlikely friendship of a lonely boy, the robot learns about humans and ultimately the duo helps the townspeople overcome their prejudices and fears.
Advance tickets are available at Harbor Drug and Crown Drug in Hoquiam, City Drug in Aberdeen and at the website, www.7thstreettheatre.com.

LOVE LETTERS
Written by A. R. Gurney
Directed by Ben Hohman
Readerβs Theatre for all ages.
Andrew Makepeace Ladd III and Melissa Gardner, both born to wealth and position, are childhood friends whose lifelong correspondence begins with birthday party thank you notes and summer camp postcards. Romantically attached, they continue to exchange letters through the boarding school and college years, where Andy goes on to excel at Yale and law school, while Melissa flunks out of a series of βgood schools.β While Andy if off at war, Melissa marries, but her attachment to Andy remains strong and she continues to keep in touch as he marries, becomes a successful attorney, gets involved in politics and eventually is elected to the U.S. Senate. Meanwhile, her marriage in tatters, Melissa dabbles in art and gigolos, drinks more than she should and becomes estranged from her children. Eventually she and Andy do become involved in a brief affair, but it is too late for both of them. However, Andyβs last letter, written to her mother after Melissaβs untimely death, makes it eloquently clear how much they really meant and gave to each other over the years; physically apart, perhaps, but spiritually as close as only true lovers can be.
Performance dates: Every Friday and Saturday evening with curtain time at 7:30. Each weekend features a different cast.
Tickets are $15.00 and are available online at:
