Aberdeen Events Calendar

The Beach Volleyball Tournament is hosted by the AVA Volleyball Association and will  run from Friday morning at 9:00 a.m. through Sunday evening. This Grand Slam tournament will showcase juniors, adult, and professional volleyball players from all over the region. This will be exciting to watch as they compete for prize money equaling $10K! Come early, bring beach chairs, and spend your day on the sand!

The Beginner’s Fun 4s tournament will be on Saturday and Sunday. Non-pro, co-ed adult teams of 4 people. 100% of the money raised from registration fees of the Beginner’s 4s ($100 per team) will go to support Grays Harbor Community Hospital.  You will get 4 t-shirts for your team with registration fee.  Please see the AVA website for links on how to sign your team up and tournament details. Rusty Anchor Fitness Fun Run-Saturday June 18-proceeds go to GHCH Foundation

•  Registration begins at 10AM  at Crescent Park
• $30 for Adults
• $15 for kids under 12
• Includes a We Heart Dads T-shirt and entrance to Fun Run.

There will be a 5k for all ages (with some hills and difficulty) and a much shorter fun dash for the little runners 6 and under. Races will start around 11:00 a.m. , so try and get all registered before 11:00 a.m.  Prizes for fastest lady runner, fastest gentleman runner, and overall quickest to the finish line will be given. Everyone  will get a participation ribbon also.

Mill 109 BBQs in the Park:

• Burgers, Veggie Burgers, Home-made Beans & Potato Salad
• Noon (after Fun Run) and 630PM (after Volleyball Tourney ends)
• $15 for adults & kids over 12
• $8 for kids under 12

If running  or beach volleyball isn’t your thing, come to watch and for the BBQs which will have sack races & other family activities also! It is all for a GREAT CAUSE!

Water To Go from Aberdeen is providing water stations at both the park and beach approach to volleyball tournament where we will be selling $5 reusable Washington CoastSavers water bottles to help minimize plastic water bottle trash on the beach.
You can fill your CoastSavers logo water bottle up all weekend for free!

The Dirty Dash is where a military boot camp meets your inner five-year-old’s fantasy. Simply put, it’s a mud run obstacle course with more mud and less torture than the races of yore.

Tour eight special gardens in Aberdeen and Cosmopolis. Sponsored by the WSU Master Gardeners of Grays Harbor and Pacific County, this is the 18th annual tour in the area.

Get ready a toe tapping, knee slapping performance by the Tacoma Banjo Band. This two and half hour special event includes a steam train ride to the museum for the concert and catered BBQ by the experts at Longhorn BBQ. Seating on the train is limited and this is a catered event so please place advance reservations.

The Aberdeen Lions Club presents its 12th annual Toast the Harbor Food and Wine Festival.
Patrons will be able to taste wines from a dozen different wineries, beer from two breweries andspirits from a local distiller, plus shop at many different food and retail vendors. We will have bottles of your favorite wines available for purchase.

Pack a lunch and join us at the Discovery Trail! Celebrate the new year with new native plants, fresh air, and exercise.

What to expect: planting native plants along the Chehalis River; restoring previous planting efforts; some invasive removal; a winters day among friends; great birding opportunities.
What to bring: lunch and your preferred gloves. We have all the equipment needed and some gloves to spare!

We are kicking 2017 off with a spectacular event  featuring Syncline Winery and Guest Chefs from The Willow Restaurant in Portland. The Willow was voted the Best New Restaurant by Willamette Week’s reader poll in 2016. Chefs John Pickett and  Doug Weiler, owners of Willow, will be pairing 5 courses with wines picked by Syncline winemaker and General Manager, James & Poppi Mantone who will be presenting the wines and information about their winery at the dinner.
